Youth Apprenticeship Program

Wisconsin’s Youth Apprenticeship Program integrates school-based learning and work-based learning to provide youth with academic and occupational skills leading to both a high school diploma and a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency. . Youth Apprenticeship offers one- and two-year programs in a variety of fields. The program offers an opportunity for Juniors and Seniors to simultaneously be enrolled in academic classes to meet high schools’ graduation requirements and a youth apprenticeship-related instruction class. There is no fee for the class. Students in the program are also employed by a participating employer under the supervision of a skilled mentor. Students interested in the PHS Youth Apprenticeship must apply for acceptance into the program through our PHS liaison, Mrs. Connie Lund (colund@plymouth.k12.wi.us). Students must maintain good grades in school, work for at least 450 hours in a year, achieve required work skills, and meet high school graduation requirements in order to complete the program. .
